I am currently working in the Myers Research Group in the Electrical and Computer Engineering Department at the University of Utah (hence the presence of my webpage at this location). To be more specific, I am working on the System-Level Timing and Verification project. Right now, I am learning Perl while I work on my little corner of the project. Because I am still inexperienced with Perl (and almost everything else, for that matter), I learn new things quite frequently. I enjoy my job.
As can probably be assumed, I am currently attending the University of Utah, though I am not taking any classes during the summer. I finished my first year at the University this past semester, so I still have a good while to go. I was recently accepted as an Electrical Engineering Major. Beginning with the fall semester, my admissions and scholarship will be placed on hold until I return from my mission. I don't know yet if that will be Fall 2008 or Spring 2009.
I am currently preparing to serve a full-time mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. I opened my call on Sunday 18 June 2006. I will be serving in the Mexico Monterrey East Mission (speaking Spanish). I will be entering the Provo MTC on 13 September 2006.
Outside of work, I am involved in the Alpha Chapter of Sigma Gamma Chi, the LDS fraternity sponsored by the Institute, the Institute Missionary Committee, and my ward, the University 29th Ward. I have recently been called to the Presidency of the Institute Missionary Committee, which should also help to keep me busy.
Current Terror Alert Level is:
Webpage still under development, assuming that I ever get around to
improving it.
