Little Cottonwood Pipeline Trail
total distance = 3.2 mi
minimum elevation = 5389 ft
maximum elevation = 6471 ft
How to get there:
At the mouth of Little Cottonwood canyon, there
is a parking lot for the temple quarry trail on the south side of the
road. Ride to this point, or drive and park here. The dirt trail
heads out on the East side of the parking lot. It parallels the canyon
road for the next 3.2 miles. You will cross one road at Wasatch
Resort, but you can simply follow the signs that point you where the
trail starts up again on the other side of the resort. You will cross
two bridges, and end up at some old ruins at the top. After the first
bridge there are some washed out rocky parts that make for technical
climbing. Once you reach the ruins, you get a quick bomb down with
lots of jumps and hoo-haas.
Raw elevation data is located here. The first column is the elevation, and the second is distance traveled since the last data point. All numbers are in feet.
